A. Adding a previous Gifted student
C. Fix "Table/DBF" error on importing
E. Fix date after entered wrong date on Import
H. Loading Performance Task results
1. Do a PowerSchool demographic import, then find the student OR
If a PowerSchool import can not be done, a manual add will be needed. You WILL NEED to know your district's student's current PowerSchool ID number before entering the information. On a manual add, click the Add button on the student screen and enter the students demographic information.
2. Change the Gifted status to the most appropriate choice. Adjust the Serving status as needed. Put the Gifted Date that the profile sheet states as the Gifted date. (This date is typically not the date the student enrolled in your district.)
3. For Academic Gifted (Not PC), click on the Qual Data button and add the complete qualifying data in their respective areas. For Artistic Gifted, click on the Info button for the respective Artistic field and complete the information as provided. Remember, you do not "re-qualify" the student, the student is already GT.

Quick notes:
A. We always recommend doing a backup before importing anything.
B. Import SC Ready just like any other assessment.
C. We recommend doing a Demographic import first.
D. GIFT will read the file as delivered by the SCDE
When you are ready to import the SC Ready:
Have the SC Ready data file easily accessible.
(GIFT will read the data file exactly how it is formatted from the SDE. It's a CVS text file.)
3. Import/Export
1. Import Assessment Results
2. Achievement
7. SC Ready
Choose the appropriate Assessment year
You can change the dates if you like.
If you will not serve the newly identified G&T students this school year, change the Serving response to No.
On the open dialogue box, just point to the SC Ready data file.
The data appears on the screen. Please verify that you have first names in the first name columns and such...
*** Make sure the Student IDs and State IDs are UNIQUE - NO DUPLICATES ***
You do not have to look at all the records, the lines displayed on the screen will usually give enough information to check.
Scores should be 2 digits and may be blank.
After looking at the data, press <esc> or <Ctrl>+W ("Control" Key and the "W" Key together) to exit the view.
If everything looks good, answer a Y or T to import in the data.
Typically a mismatch report is sent to the screen. Be sure to print this out. Click on the Printer icon on the report.
The mismatch report are students that did not get imported or are duplicates.
Most of these will have an ID issue.
You have to find them individually within GIFT and enter their scores by hand.
Do not be surprised if they are not in GIFT. The more demographic imports you do during the year, the better the matching. (Students
come and go between the test being given and the scores being imported.)
That should do it.
